My Carry On for Rain Furrest
This is the equipment I hope to take with me to Rain Furrest.
Left side, top to bottom: video camera battery charger; Rolleicord medium format camera; Canon Rebel XTi with 50 mm prime lense.
Middle, clockwise starting from top: Rode shotgun microphone with wind foam; XLR Y-splitter; Mini DV cassettes; Sunpak flash for D-SLR; lavalier microphone within the pouch; and a Canon Rebel GII film camera.
Right: Canon GL2 video camcorder; GL2 battery; batteries for the Rebel GII and lavalier microphone.
Obviously, I don't have room for a tripod in there, so it'll have to go in the checked luggage along with my clothes. Although I still have time to adjust what I'm taking with me. For instance, I could leave behind the digital SLR in favor of Mini DV tapes. Also, the camcorder looks bulky, but it's amazingly light, especially when compared to the other camcorder that I have, the Sony VX-2100. Good thing I'm going to the gym right now, otherwise I'd never be able to carry that camera around as long as I plan to.
I also plan on buying an XLR adapter, so I can connect the microphone to the camera. Not too much, really.
Comments, questions, concerns.
