100 theme meme work. This is "Happiness".
Wow... Reynard came out a lot more red after I scanned this in.
Anyway, just sort of reflecting the idea that sometimes it's the simplest things that make us feel happiness, even euphoria.... simple things like a song and being in the right frame of mind.
And I just wanted to put him into a random industrial scene to have this grungy, grimy, dismal scene contrast with Reynard's happiness.
Even though I am fascinated by industrial scenes, I am not that great at drawing them. XP

i dunno, i think hagfish look like an old guy with a handlebar mustache! which of course isn't the same as not being ugly.
i always liked the h.r. giger ugly-beautiful stuff. except when it was sex, then it was ugly-disturbing.
i always found billboards on the ugly-ugly side. ew.

I like that song!
This picture was inspired by a different song, though. It's "The Rising" by Bruce Springsteen, an amazingly joyous sounding song (despite the fact that it's about a firefighter going up the World Trade Center on September 11th).
Still that song and I... we have a history.
As for the 100 theme list, it's technically on DA, but I suppose you can introduce it to FA.
Here's a link to it in my journal (and you can ignore the links and whatnot)

Ya know, I think it really does capture happiness in it's grandest sense!
I like the way it brings to mind movies like "Metropolis" and it's ilk; the idea that one tiny, really insignificant thing can yank a person out of a dismal reality into a dream world of happiness and gaiety. Or Gay happiness, depending on your preference.
Anyway, yeah...good job!

Thanks. That was actually pretty much what I was going for... and you probably articulated it better than I did. :B
Well... I'm just going to accept the term gaiety in the traditional sense of the word (that is being happy) for this picture. Because Reynard is not homosexual.

Actually, I was realizing that I was pretty much just reiterating what you said as I was typing it, but I was too tired to stop myself. Then I was committed and had to press the button. The big, shiny button. Ok, not very big and actually not shiny at all, but it still had to be pressed.
So, then, Reynard would be more likely to indulge in traditional gaiety than modern gaiety? :P
(I know...I'm a brat XD)
