I got this fella through a trade with 
I tweaked a bit of the markings but not by much. :3
So I can remember I'm just gonna copy pasta what their species info was....
Folkorns are a Closed Species.
They are like deers in that they live in herds. Their ears are "always" facing down/back. Forward facing ears are a mutation in the species, and it causes the herd to ostracize the mutated one. The forward facing ears cause a lot of ear infections and will end up in causing a brain infection causing it to go feral/berserk. Females are prone to becoming feral/berserk faster than a mutated male, for the sole reason that they have much larger ears.
Their feet are like Caribou's, except instead of two main toes, these guys have three. Their feet are ALWAYS a really dark grey/black.
Sexual Dimorphism:
The females have sharp teeth and a broad flat textured tongue. They are carnivores. They eat meat for the protein to help produce rich milk for their fawns.
The males have a longer thinner sticky tongue and flat teeth. They eat mostly plants, nuts, mushrooms and berries, and their main protein source are ants and termites.
The females have no horns (unless they are feral/berserk)
Females have much larger ears than the males which give them better hearing abilities than males.
Males have larger eyes for better sight, as well as they have two sets of nostrils. This acute smell is to help with picking up the different scent that an in heat female produces.
Females have utters, and males have cocks. The utters and cocks are the same colour as the fluid sacks on their throats, as well as their eyes. The utters and cocks are also transparent like the sacks on their throats.
They are quite large, they're the size of a large moose.
Inside the fluid sack contains a neurotoxin. Males and females will spit it out at predators to paralyze them. Males will also produce a mist-like pheromone form of it when courting females that are in heat.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand I realized I forgot to make the sac a bit transparent. Oh well. /face palm. I'll remember the next time I draw him. I already closed out SAI and didn't save the WIP. Soooo can't fix it. Was gonna make it 70% transparent or something buuuut at least you can see the line on the other side so I guess that's something. >= A =<
