Sometimes, the unexpected comes at just the most unusual times. A week after Fiata started staying she was making local connections to markets to start getting more things to sell, as a merchant should. I was happy to see her being pretty proactive about her job and she even offered to manage the bills. Though skeptical at first she spoke of how she was particularly skilled at money management, just always had to deal with small budgets. In exchange, we were going to help with her business when she needed it. That was fine to me. I liked seeing the things she got in. Peddling wasn't my strong suit but we had some pretty charismatic tenants. It was one day that following week since she arrived that she received a call and she started to act with urgency. She grabbed my keys and my arm and dragged me out the door. Muse was hardly able to keep up. She tossed me the keys and told me to drive. I wasn't allowed to ask questions apart form where to turn. After a bit of a drive, we arrived at a small building and when we went in, there was a large basement that we went in to. Upstairs seemed rather lackluster at best. The basement was grand and well taken care of. I felt out of place in just jeans and a hoodie. My mouth was to remain stifled as we went in and then I saw why. I would be outraged and speak my mind if I was able to. I put my trust in to Fiata that she knew what she was doing. I looked around and did all I could to control myself. There were rooms up along the walls, glass panes presenting the merchandise inside. Creatures of all sorts. Most expected to be slaves for the rest of their life. I listened as Fiata talked and spoke of me being a buyer. I wasn't pleased. I looked to see what was coming out and it was the first time I saw Lylah. She looked sweet and innocent. It wasn't expected in this place. Fiata paid for her and we quickly got back to the car to leave. Sensing my anger she explained that she wasn't really caring for that type of business but if she could she would help those that she could. She had someone on the inside that would let her know if there was someone new that hadn't been broken right away and still was just in a state of confusion rather than saddened by everything. She said that since I gave her a place to stay that she hoped I would be willing to help. I agreed but so long as it didn't happen too often. The less I had to go there the better. When we arrived home, I sat down and talked to Lylah. She was a complete sweetheart and just hoped to make everyone happy. She understood what was going on but she held a smile on her face. There's something very interesting about her.
Not every story is happy, as such with her. She's adorable with a dark introduction. I wonder what will come of her in the future. I hope she is well-liked.
