Whew i got it done, this really was a big load of work (i'm not doing sequences that often)
This (un)lucky fellow has learned a lesson there, if you deal with someone making magical costumes don't piss them off... at least not if you planned on tkaing it OFF again
A few small explenations to some things that may seem odd... in pannel 2 that's the zipper beeing "blown" off the suit and that "squeak" in pannel 5 is because his face is still half plastic and changes... he's actually male BUT since you never see it and he's a rather cartoonish lizard in the end he can be any gender really (that's why i chose not specified")

Of course there's also a bigger version, downloadable from the link below

Ya know.. this does beg a question. If this is what happens to customers who are rude and insulting.. then what happens to someone who buys one of these suits and is -nice- and -thanking- and -paying-? The opposite end of the spectrum.. would they perhaps turn into a 'real' lizard that they could still take off? The possibilities boggle the mind. :}
Well I stumbled across this one today and I love it <3 Costume punishment for being a jerk to an obvious wizard. I've seen some costume punishments before and this one is hot. I love the little lizzy costume and the end result, not to mention his expressions while this is going on. He got what he deserved though any good person would learn to like the new form dontcha think?
Anyhoo, hope to see more of these from you Dan ^.=.^ Maybe one with a large dragon or a rhino, or even a video game character!

I've often wondered why we don't see this sort of transformation art more often here at FA. I've read dozens of suit-transformation stories over at TSA (Transformation Story Archives). Perhaps it's easier to write about than to illustrate. Anyway, you did a most excellent job.
Well, if enough people haven't said it already, this is awesome.
First of all, I think this is the first comic style image I've gotten to see from you. I have to say you do a very good job with the medium, you seem to have a natural talent for it.. You do a good job making the action sequential and I'm glad you weren't afraid the alter the panels' sizes and shapes because I think that makes the comic seem more dynamic than just using two straight rows of three identical panels.
One of the things I've also been meaning to say because it doesn't just apply here but to a lot of your other works as well: you do fantastic sound effects. You do a great job stylizing them, changing the colors and/or fonts to fit what's going on. And I think it's neat that you make them follow the outline of what's making the sound when that's appropriate, like the *bwoum* around the stomach. Plus you can be so creative with them when you want to be, I mean, *bwoun*? That's just awesome.
Finally I did look at the higher resolution version of this and I'm thoroughly impressed with all the detail that went into this. The textures are fantastic, I'm especially impressed with the larger final panel. Speaking of which, it was really neat to see how those textures change as the costumed morphed into a...non-costume. And the expression in that last panel is priceless, too.
Anyway, thanks a lot for sharing your work with us. I really thought everything you've shared here on FA is very good, and I'm really looking forward to seeing more! ^^

Hehe wow thank you for that comment, it's really nice to get such a deep reply sometimes ^..^
It's actually not the first time i use that cartoonish style, the first time was in my "toon dino TF" sequence i posted a few month ago but i'm slowly getting it to work better (and it's nice that it works so well with my new shading and outlining style)
And it's really cool that people notice the texture changes i did in it, good thing i made the larger version ^..^

(After typing note: I know you don't like for people to go off on tangents in your comments and I apologize in advance if this does, but I did try to keep it focused on your artwork)
Well, thank you very much for the response! ^^ It's always nice to see that people actually read these comments. Plus your response was awesome because it made me go back through your gallery and see a lot of your work I missed, such as the Dino Transformation submission you mentioned. Which I was pretty impressed with as well. Along with this image is really shows how well you handle doing both sequential work and a more toonish style. Again, I think you have a natural talent with the former, and as far as the latter goes I'm still a big fan of your original style that most of your works display, but I think you do a good job with the more toonish look (particularly, I think you use the wider eyes very effectively to make the character more expressive).
Also, if you don't mind me asking you did mention a new shading and outlining style, I think whatever you're doing is working really well but I can't for the life of me figure out what you're doing. Unfortunately I have no experience with digital art at all, can I ask what you use to make stuff look this awesome?
And I'm really glad you posted the larger version too, I've always checked out the outside links to your work. Especially because you put so much detail into your work and it's really great to see it in it's full form. It is kind of too bad Furaffinity restricts images like it does, although I certainly understand why that's necessary. Actually on that note I'm glad you included a link to your site on your Furaffinity page because it let me find your VCL archive and see a lot of your older work, but do you share your stuff anywhere else? I'd hate to miss out on any of your art.
Sorry if I started to ramble, I'll stop boring you now. But it's great to see your work, I'll have to keep an eye out if you start doing commissions again. Thanks again for sharing your art on Furaffinity! ^^

Hehe dont worry about the going off topic thing, i'm trying not to let it get to me that much anymore ^..^
About the new shading over time i slowly adapted to use not just one but several shading layers over eachother, blended the right way they add a lot more tones to shadows and for a few weeks now i do a simple trick, after the base shading is done i copy the layer and do a "shine outline" around parts of the image by simply cutting a blurred outline in the shading layer... i first used it on these pic here
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1293677/
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1293686/
If you look at older works you'll notice that the shadows always go to the very edge of the image, by letting them "run out" like that it gives the illusion of reflected light... additionally i use a extra layer to darken certain areas, before that all shadows had the exact same strength
This here was my first colored and shaded experiment with weighted outlines
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1219578/
before that all outlines had the same strength throughout but like this i can vary them depending on where they are (i usualy differ between outside and isnide the image, position and light source, and if the line overlaps something [like a arm going in front of the body] or is just there to accent something [like a bend line on a finger])
Besides here and VCL i have a few works on DA but i havent used that account in years now and most of it there is from a experimental phase and doesnt look that good anymore
And thanks again for the compliments, i'll sure try to keep up my "quality" and even further improve on it (doing this sequence actually helped a bit as i experimented around a little bit while making it) and of course hope you'll keep enjoying my works ^..^

I'm going to belatedly add my voice to the crowd to say that this is very good work, and appealing as well.
I want to say also that I consider myself to be a fairly polite fellow, but if this was the end result of being rude I'd be tempted to turn off the tact once in a while.
... unfortunately the only retribution one really receives for rudeness is rudeness in kind, or physical injuries or fines, but one can wistfully imagine.
Once again, well done.

you people are insane, you would seriously want that!? i feel so damn sorry for...it damn if his gender did change that would be a punishment and a half. Being a fat lizard and what's worse you're female...or male depends really. Good thing i never dress up at all...well...apart from one thing...hay if you put on a costume that had a rifle would the rifle look real too?
