Living in darkness will tear your heart from your chest, crust your soul to dust, and maybe if you escape you just may mend them, but don't let them steal the light in your eyes or you will never escape.

This started out as something more ambitious and grand and ended with this sketch instead that I decided to leave alone. There are a few other phrases that come to mind when I drew this such as 'If you're going through hell, keep on going.' Sometimes all we can do is trudge onwards.
