I can certainly see why both you and Indagare pointed me in the direction of these characters -- their possibilities are endless! The idea of a couple who combine superpowers and philosophy in equal measure reminds me of the 80s British TV series, Sapphire & Steel.

Oh, and I like the idea of being in a sphere which shrinks, and shrinks you with it. It's like in Fantastic Voyage when the submarine gets put into the giant syringe.
