Before I say anything, let me tell you all that I am not ignoring my commissions to draw myself personal art. I rarely ever draw myself personal things, and I didn't know what to expect considering I haven't been drawing for about three weeks now due to never having the time or the ability. The drawing came out way better than I had expected it to, and I planned on doing commissions the moment I finished this. I repeat, once again, I am not ignoring commissions. I didn't know if my art was going to be really terrible after not drawing for so long and I don't want to give my customers poor quality. Thank you.
Most of you are aware, but for those who aren't, I am a ride operator at Knott's Berry Farm. I operate the ride, Supreme Scream. One of my really good friends, AceOfHeartsFox, is also a ride operator but at Disneyland. He operates the ride, Jungle Cruise.
I've only worked two days so far and those days have been really aggravating for me. I've been more anxious than I've ever been and stress is getting to me so badly. The lives of so many are in my hands and I have to remember so many things all at once even though my memory is shit. The majority of the employees there will talk shit about each other behind people's backs and I was afraid they'd talk about me (I'm pretty sensitive to what people think about me).
I came home Tuesday evening crying because I was just so stressed and all of it was getting to me. I kept talking to my parents and friends and they told me advice but I still felt anxious. At around 11:00 PM at night, unable to sleep from the anxiety and stress, I had realized when Ace liked one of my posts on FaceBook that he is a ride operator. I messaged him immediately and the moment I told him I needed advice, my phone started ringing and it was him. We talked for about 32 minutes, and he was able to make me feel a lot more comfortable with everything. He gave me his advice from experience, and I can trust the advice more when it's from someone who's experienced this first-hand. He's the only friend I know that's a ride operator, so he was bound to give the best advice.
As a thank you for his kindness and to spend the time he could've been sleeping to just talk it out with me, I told him I had this drawing idea. The original idea was to have our characters fist bumping in our uniforms with shades on. Since I don't really draw shades very well and definitely enjoy showing off a character's eyes, though, I ditched the sunglasses and went for backgrounds of our rides. I was hoping to get a firework in the center but it wasn't very possible for me so I just made a little white line after fussing with this so much.
Cass's expression is resembling the extremity of the ride she operates, whereas Ace's expression is resembling the happy/fun/enjoyable quality of the ride he operates. His is definitely more kid friendly whereas mine is one to make someone shit themselves. Trust me, as one of the test dummy's for the ride, I'd know (I had to test the ride with a lifted shoulder harness to make myself almost fly out of my seat as a lesson to never ever have someone's safety shoulder harness hovering above them so I always make sure to make it nice and snug).
Tl;dr: A thank you gift for a friend who spent time out of his day to make my anxieties about work go away.
Thank you and enjoy~

I'm glad things are looking up. You hide stress well and I'm sorry I didn't realize you've been so stressed! Next time I see you I'm giving you an extra special hug. Good luck with training and have fun! I have some videos to give you from PS. I finally found my camera cord!
Ahh thank you ;v; Your hugs are amazing! Yah I don't want people to worry about me ;;"
Ooo! Email them to me ;v; my email is cskubat[at]gmail.com
If you have a Facebook and have me on there, even better!

We worry because we love you! Of course its purely platonic, but you know we all have feelings for one of our favorite canines! And the next hug will be even better than the other ones (gonna throw my aura in it.) And I don't have a fur facebook yet. But I'll do so later and give them to you!
Thank you so much Oli <33333
I'm glad too! From one ride operator to another, it made me feel way more comfortable even though I got somewhat of the same advice from others. It felt better coming from someone with experience.
Ahhh thank you so so so so much! Coming from someone who's art is WAY MORE ADORABLE THAN MINE, I take this compliment into so much gratitude <333

Ah thank you! And yes it is ;v; It's a heart stopper for sure! Even when I test the ride, it's scary because when you're up there, you just want it to drop and it feels like forever before it just lets you go and you're feeling that -1 G Force. ((I know all my ride facts now other than what materials it's built with so if you have any questions on the speed, the G Forces, the year it was built, the height of the ride, how long the ride lasts, I know all of those)).
Ahh testing the ride is actually super fun ;v; I feel like a little kid on Christmas. Just a little terrifying because I'm hoping the mechanic did his job well and made sure the ride was working properly.
THank you! I'm going to need it ;;

That's okay! I have to test the ride so I'm slowly losing my fears over it ;v;
Awwhhh thank you <3 I'm just a roller coaster junkie. I rode the Drop of Doom at Six Flags, and that one's taller!! 150 to 200 feet taller than Supreme Scream. It also wobbles because it's built on Superman and when Superman launches and goes up the tower, the whole Drop of Doom shakes violently. It's so terrifying and fun at the same time!
