Allright, this is an image I worked on since March. So.. 7 months of work on this one, but you can't see that on here, because it's just been that long because of various things getting into my way, including realizing that spending time on remaking Yu-Gi-Oh card artwork is a huge waste of time, so it was mostly dropped, but every now I came back to it, because I drew a lot of the lines already, and throwing that away felt like a waste, so it was on the backburner, but it was still there. I actually drew the lines with my graphic tablet. Good to be reminded that I have one.
Let's remind ourselves of the Yu-Gi-Oh related stuff I made:

However I noticed that I should possibly draw more cards that I actually use ........ use when playing on the PSP, because otherwise it wouldn't work. Botanical Lion had a TF sequence, but this one gets a remake. Gigaplant is.... my most commonly used card. No matter how much I change my plant deck, Gigaplant has use in it. When one has a plant deck, it' hard not to go for it. It really lets you summon all my favorites quickly, to stomp on the enemy.
Regarding the quality of my image, for a while I was upset at myself, calling it shit, but then I added white to the eyes of Gigaplant, and............... it suddenly received quite a bit of charm. So... I now only call it "kind of crappy". I used a bunch of textures, and toyed with sharping/bluring objects to give an illussion of depth. I don't think it really worked, but even so, it sort of made me appreciate Gigaplant-y a bit more. Sure, he's a giant drooling bulldog with only 2400 attack power, but he brings me a newspaper in the morning, and he ressurects the Lonefire Blossom that summoned him in the first place.... I should stroke his head a little more to let him know how special he is.
Originally drawn by .... I don't know, Yu-Gi-Oh doesn't seem to give artists credits, it just lists Kazuki Takahashi and I kinda doubt the big main creator drew every monster himself.
