To a first approximation, I'm exactly as much a fan of his comics as he's able to avoid injecting his politics into them. (And this is even after I was banned from his site's forum for stating that I had the Wikileaks torrent active on my torrent-program of the time.)
Yeah, he's not very good at being subtle with his politics. Tales of the Questor is pretty good most of the time, and Quentyn Quinn Space Ranger had one or two arcs that managed to avoid getting too political, but it's mostly bashing stuff he doesn't like (currently, 40K).
Must have missed your term on the forum, I've been on there for years and come close to being banned a few times. Most of the "liberals" there last a week or two.
