If at first you don't succeed, go do something else...
I admit it, I do this all the time. Its not so much a case of CAN'T WIN, DON'T TRY, as I'M NOT GOOD ENOUGH, DON'T MAKE YOURSELF MISERABLE TRYING. I suck so I should give up now?
I am only creative about 5% of the time. I see real artists like
flinters or
maxblackrabbit or
tegerio who seem to have a creative overdrive. When I draw, I look at it and I swear it looks like it was drawn by a five year old. This is not just a matter of me drawing and being extra critical, its more a case of me drawing and its like I have forgot how to use a pencil. I should post some of this sometime...

::Sighs:: you sound like me when I try to draw.
Any artist of any medium, are their worst critics. The fact to the matter is, many people do like your work. You however, need to start believing, that you ARE good. And until you do, your vision to your work will always look substandard, even when it's not.
It's the same idea as the slender person, looking in the mirror, and they see themselves 20..30..50...100 pounds heavier than they are.
As for improvment, we all need that. Artists such as
,
...and so on, Even my mate
practice constantly, to improve to keep up thier skills, to learn new things. But when we look at their works, we are thinking how awesome of an artist they are, how easy they make it look.
Maybe....just maybe, you might want to not think that you suck, and simply do it because it's something you enjoy.
DO you enjoy drawing? Or do you do it for other's approval? Just a lil thought there hun. :)
btw..gonna be at FF this year?

u think it matters how u draw? or how u portrait ur art?
ur giving the viewers a front row seat on how u deal with ur life.. ur pleasures ur pains, ur fears, ur vices, in this story ur leaving NO rock unturned, and not many artists have the freedom and confidence to proudly show what other people have to hide.. ur not insecure in ur story.. i truely admire that about u.. u have my respect.. no joke.
