Commission for Pearl Eden (heavenscoffee here on FA) of her allegorical figure of the deadly sin Lust.
This was another one of my color experiments. Warm light and cool shadow tends to be the general rule. I just upped the contrast, let's say, and did away with most of the local color. The original character hadn't been colored yet; I was allowed to pick my own. I ended up focusing on the quality and color of the light more than the color of the figure.
And now I'm all caught up on artwork! Yay! Except for like.. ten million little scraps that I may or may not upload.

You are a really fantastic artist. I don't even know how to start talking about what's good in this image. I really think the color contrast you spoke of in your comments works very well, but so does practically everything else. One of the other effects I really like is how everything grows...(I'm not going to use the right word for this, and I apologize for my poor vocabulary) wispier as it moves farther away from the center of the image and the light. I think that's helped by the fact that (as far as I can tell) there are really no straight lines here at all.
I am really impressed with your artwork, and that's not just for this single image either. If you do decide to upload any of those sketches or anything, I'll really be looking forward to seeing them. Thanks a lot for sharing your work! ^^
So glad you're experimenting with colors, I love it.
