Well, to be fair, I wouldn't want the same meal all the time either!

But I know how this is. I give my cat both canned and dry food, and with the canned food I always make sure to get a bunch of different flavors for variety...but my cat will randomly decide she doesn't like certain flavors anymore. Recently, it's been the beef flavor, which she used to love... Pets are fickle beasts.

Well honestly, many dogs will eat whatever you put in front of them. And some dogs only like things made in a precise way. And then other dogs just get easily bored with the same food unless you add some zest in there. My dog will go through phases where he'll eat anything happily (if its made in a precise way), and then one day something clicks and he decides his food is too boring. even if its a flavor he hasn't had in a long while.

Yeeeaaah, dogs are funny things. The current family dog here will generally eat whatever you give him, but you can tell how much he likes something by how much ends up on the floor. He's a boxer and when he eats dry food he tends to let pieces fall out of his mouth. If he really likes the food, he'll just bend down and snatch the bits up off the floor, but if he's not particularly fond of it, he'll just leave it there...much to the chagrin of anyone who happens to step on a squishy piece of dog food.

What's worse is my mom's cat will play with anything and everything, so she tends to push the bits of dog food all over the house. But at least she eats anything you give her, unlike my cat, hah.
