Tryin' to combine my appreciation of buff critters with my love of stylized cartoony things. Pencil sketch, colored in ArtRage. Originally drew this with my friend Simba (Scott) in mind. Dunno how far from his character I drifted, but he seemed to get a kick out of it, anyway.
Really just did this to warm up and try to get back into "the drawing groove." Last month several weeks were taken up by packing, moving, and unpacking ... and then I got bogged down with a couple weeks of tedious flash and digital freelance. I want and need to get back to some art-type work now, so zipped this out quick and sloppy to get the ball rolling again.

That's one cute, and strong, lion.
The title of this submission makes me think of those Llama song variants that were going around for a while.
Good luck getting your drawing groove back. My job seems to love knocking me out of my drawing grooves just as I get them back.
