I dunno what he is... ^^; but he's very cute! As for the pencils, I've always had a thing for colored pencils over markers :3 they give a more even feel, and you get shading effects you just can't get with pens. Not to point anywhere in particular >> but if you look between his legs, where they join his body, you get a much more gradual shade, rather than the more sudden shade of a darker pen.

That's just my opinion :D
