And now, presenting the second ever offer in the up and coming RAREdog adoptables catalogue, Sissel Britta Toov, a female lundehund. Her defining features are polydactylism (six fingers on each hand, six toes on each foot), and a penchant for rock climbing, caving, and spelunking.
The NORWEGIAN LUNDEHUND is a special, rare breed of dog hailing from Norway. This dog is a small breed of Spitz with extreme adaptations, including stable polydactylism, an incredibly flexible spine, and an advanced range of motion thanks to joints that allow the dog to fit in and out of narrow passages. Originally bred to hunt puffin birds, this dog can climb sheer rock faces with the aid of its extra toes, and is able to squeeze itself into tiny, rocky burrows to fetch out the elusive puffin. Her spine is such that she can bend her neck all the way back to touch her nose to her back! Her ears can also fold back to form a near-tight seal to keep out water.
Today is Day 3 out of a 5-day auction! Place your bids at the link above if you'd like to buy this character!!
