I have always thought, once I learned of the Day of the Dead holiday, that it was mentally better for you than our Halloween/Reformation day. We look upon our dead in sadness that they have passed and are no longer part of out lives. They celebrate the times that they had with their loved ones, recalling piths and pratfalls they took along the way of their lives, and smile at those memories. I like that and wish we did so instead.
