This is an improved version of my earlier efforts with a background to supplement (i.e. redlined and added). The scene on the left depicts the Followers in the March, walking under the night sky of the Sudanese desert. The galaxy was a manipulated photo from NASA that was color adjusted, filtered, and then clusters of stars added (lots of stars). resorted to stamping the clusters I made to give it that atmospheric effect. Some liquifying was also used to manipulate the stars. As for the right, I had to adjust to a broken pen and used photographs I took of people and objects (specifically trucks) either on campus or at home. It shows a crowd of onlookers amassing to witness the March, while Jason lingers behind, departing from Ghedi's truck (this is all based on plot elements). Jason is actually my older brother, Steven, heavily manipulated to appear as a tall blonde haired man. The crowd was also adjusted to appear in local garb (they were people crossing Main Street at Kutztown University). As for the truck, that was my neighbor's parked on his driveway. The sand and sky were all painted from scratch.
This whole thing was a lot of ad-libbing and figuring out problems in some creative fashion, otherwise having to wait weeks to get it done. Stressful, but productive. Learned a lot from offline practicing and artworks).
Osiris, is, of course, our friend in the center.
March of Life is currently in the editing stage and will be submitted to an agent as soon as a few beta readers provide some feedback (I've made some edits in the first 40/99 pages without feedback).
