Oh man, I'm the same way. Its been like 17 years since I last trick-or-treated.
And while I love handing out candy to kids and seeing their faces light up as I give em big handfuls of candy, at the same time, I wanna hide away in my room with a pillow case full of candy. Leading to a Halloween Spooky diabetic coma :p

I was robbed of my last year to 'acceptably' go trick-or-treating. We went to a log home..convention..thing in the carolinas that year during Halloween and I brought a costume with me cause my mom told me she'd take me somewhere where we were staying. Needless to say...my costume never got to be worn that year. I was very sad..
Reverse trick or treat someone.
What you do is get a couple strong types to carry around a door. You dress as old ladies. And then when the person opens their door, you open YOUR door and go "Ohhh cute! Aren't y'all a little old to be trick or treating?"
And then YOU give candy to THEM and tell them to have a good night. You close the door and carry it off to the next house.

Dress up in something full body and go anyway; there's a lot of tall kids out there, can't really discriminate. The trick is the scare them too much so they can't frown, hah hah. Haven't been to one house that hasn't given up some candy (they may give less, would know).
So, I challenge you, to go anyway. You liked it right? It's fun to go out and see all the costumes and go up to random strangers for sweets.

Some how we make it work. Im kinda jealous of my kids because WE didnt do it when we were young, wasnt really a thing in my country >.> so now my kids go out hunting for candy and i stand at the door in something scary handing it out. So last year i decided id tag along and go early with them, and still be home in time to hand out sweets. Worked, i think
hahaha this is great! ^^ and i know how you i'm glad that my son is trick or treating xD he is gonna be a tiger this year and i'm debating if i wanna pull out a par of ears and tail or not xD People look at me funny at first then realise i'm dressed up in theme with my son (last yeah he was a dinosaur and hs father and i were cave people xD) I can half wait for it lol i love the candy but i hate the walking t was so much easier when i was a kid xD
haha that's fun. One way to have fun if you 'cant' trick or treat, is to set up sets and scare the crap out of the kids/older kids hehehe. ITS SO MUCH FUN. I even scared an adult once when I was a teenager. I never laughed so hard XD and then she started laughing too haha

... It's sad,dark and lonely. Next year I'll try to decorate for
halloween. I'm going to plant some pumpkins by the driveway-ish so I don't have to any
or move any for that matter XD. ._. I dunno what else, though.
I might have enough for more than just pumpkin seeds and candy next year.

Pssh, 28 still dressing up and doing my rounds. creepy? yes. but i still get my candy. "ill sue you for age discrimination and not living up to your side of this transaction! gimmie those damn reeses cups or ill egg your house. I'm a grown ass man and i deserve respect. oh, trick or treat." :3
