Painting of my Guild Wars 2 Charr Guardian. I love the overall design and development for the Charr species. :)
The only thing I wish they could change is how the Charr character rig is animated. I think the game models and skeleton look wonderful, but if they could slightly rework their posture so the Charr stood just a biiiit straighter, I think that'd look amazing! That was the main idea behind this painting - seeing how a Charr with straighter combat posture might look like.

Pretty much spot-on! I think the gauntlets are also part of the primeval armor set (I originally started this a couple months ago, when I first started the game) - but I remember altering some minor features about the armor bits as I went along. The wrist portion for the gauntlet is probably based off one of the early level glove armors found from loot, and I most likely merged it with the primeval gauntlet's design.
Thanks! I would definitely be up for doing more GW2 artwork. :)

That looks really awesome! I play GW2 as well and as a Charr Guardian: here is a screenshot

Thank you, glad you like it!
I haven't played too much of the personal story yet (didn't want to rush through it!), but from browsing forums, I have a general overview of the species culture and history. From what I know so far, they sound quite fascinating! I also remember reading something about how the writers for GW2 were very proud with how they wrote the personal Charr story (another reason I didn't want to rush through it). Hopefully, they'll be expanded on even more in GW3. ;)

Not saying that's not true and it's certainly good when you roleplay with friends. From experience however, sometimes it can result in unnecessary rp drama when people's interpretations clash, and you can imagine how that turns out. That's where more exact lore proves much better.
Anyway, that certainly doesn't detract from the personal enjoyment or that with friends so I hope you enjoy playing through it!

Thanks, I'll add you sometime! I mostly solo or play with my irl friend. I joined my first guild over Halloween, but haven't messed around with guilds very much yet (I still consider myself quite new to the game, and only just reached my first lvl 80) - I haven't even tried a dungeon yet, haha - still so much to discover about the game/world. :) I love how vast and rich the worldbuilding team at anet made Tyria.
Thanks for taking a look at my artwork, and for your kind words about my work! I''ll do my best to do more stuff that you might enjoy in the future :)

Cool, I added you, I should be the newest addition to your "follower" list. ^^ Yeah, my friend and I play every so often, mostly to unwind and relax. :) She's a Sylvari Ranger, she likes the class a lot! A friendly Necromancer partied a bunch of use random people in the Labyrinth over Halloween. He had so many minions, he was like his own little army. :) I would love to try leveling a Mesmer next, but with all the Tengu speculation, I think I'll probably wait a few months and see if they add them as a class. Because a Tengu Mesmer sounds too cool!
Thank you again! My slate's a bit full at the moment, but I always try to work on new stuff behind the scenes to show later on. :)

I wish I had more time to try out all the classes, they all sound fun in their own way! I tried a few others (all charr haha, go figure!), but most are under level 20. I originally started as a charr warrior, and leveled her up to around 40, but found the warrior's skills a little repetitive. I then tried a charr guardian, and fell in love with it. :)
Yes, we neeed Tengu to become playable, I'd go nuts if that happened. I love the look of their in-game character models.
Thanks again and for your interest! Money for conventions and events is important :) If you ever decide to in the future, it'd be an honor to paint for a fellow GW2 fan!
