Vandamm House

The feature film North by Northwest was a spy thriller directed by Alfred Hitchcock and featuring a Frank Lloyd Wright style house. The house had a distinctive and unique design and floor plan. The exterior and interior of the house was seen in many scenes. People contacted the movie studio asking where the house was located and whether tours were available.

Just one thing--the house did not actually exist. It was a set in a sound stage and a detailed paintings on a sheet of glass.
