I had been driving down this road south of town and thought I saw something through the rain. I came up on top of a hill just in time to see the last few minutes and rope-out of the Milsap tornado. I had waited for years and I had finally seen my first tornado, though it was a long way from me, probably 3-4 miles.

Beautiful shot! I remember my first twister. It looked like an octopus coming down from the sky west of Odessa, it was a weak multi-vortex structure. No where near this level though. The funnels would stretch out from the side of the storm make contact for a moment then spun away as another did the same. It went on for a few minutes before it gave up. That was years ago and I didn't have a camera, we had a clear shot across the city from our second story balcony. It was epic :D
