Ballad of Bill Hubbard page 1
Since it is the 100th anniversary of the Great War this year, why not post this? Some of the older folks probably remember it from Furrlough or Huzzah, but I imagine the majority of people haven't seen it.
I can't even remember when this was done (mid 90's?). A collaboration between myself and
Scott_Ruggels. I did the layout, most of the pencils and the lettering. He did the finishing pencils, inks and tones. The wonderfully detailed military gear and uniforms are all his work. This may have been one of the last 'hardcopy' comics he did art on.
This is an actual interview with a WW1 vet, that Roger Waters (of Pink Floyd fame) used as the opening and closing tracks of his CD "Amused to Death." Sorry for the poor scan quality-- these are scans of the printed pages as opposed to the original art.
