I am reading a book about alchemy. I haven't gotten very far yet, iI looked at the art before I really started reading. The reproductions of old woodcuts are just beautiful! Some are crappy, but all are charming. I find the alchemical symbols neat so I threw some on here. I am sure it says something about hate and incest. It seems like there was a lot of hate and incest and death and rebirth and on. For example, I just opened to a random page and the caption for the illustration says, "Trapped in the womb: the adept expiring in his putrefying egg, or fetid vessel."
