An option for
darkpawcamui for his album cover for his industrial project, The Pinion. This is one of many fractals I'm giving him to choose from, being important and all. :)
Not one of the best... The bubbles are off-centered... But there was no way for me to fix that. :/

I love looking at complex patterns, whether it be Apophysis images or animal tracks. By animal tracks, I don't mean anything as obvious as paw prints. It is the flipped over pebble whose bottom looks slightly different appearing than it's top, the bent blade of grass, the twig that has been dragged an inch from its resting place in the sand... There is a good book on tracking appropriately called "The Art Of Seeing". Aspers tend to be very good at detecting subtle changes in patterns. The one above pushes the right buttons for Asper brain.
I have one of these lithos; there are a LOT of critters and faces hidden in this image:

Too much symmetry reduces the unpredictability and the need to explore to grasp it, thereby making an image less interesting to me.

You've got it! I don't know how you would tweak the Apophysis image generating parameters to introduce fascinating asymmetries, but I think that a search for guiding principles to do this could really pay off. This image is a really good example of how well it can work. It looks dynamic rather than static... I've downloaded it for my slide show.
Hahaha, sweet!
Well, as are almost all Apophysis images, it is hard to depict how to achieve something as broad as this. You must know the flame algorithm inside and out, and know exactly how each and every variation works with each other... In which no-one knows, yet.
It's all about randomness, hehe.
But thank you, I truly appreciate it. I hope it makes a good impression on whatever your slideshow is about. :)
