God it's been a while since I've done some character design! And it's been a long time since I've drawn a full character, head to toe. There's obviously some shit I need to fine tune, but I learned a lot while drawing this, so that's one good thing.

ANYWAY. ON TO LEARNING A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THIS NEW GUY, MONTY.

Name: Monty
Age: Twenty-one
Gender: Trans male
Species: Hyena
Sexuality: Pansexual something or other (likes dudes most)

Personality: He's a bit rough around the edges. Really rough around the edges. He has a short temper, and is constantly trying to prove his masculinity. He's not the sharpest tool in the shed, and that makes him self conscious. He's stubborn and gets jealous easily. When that happens, he can get physical, since he doesn't know how to use his words. Monty tends to be rather closed off, and part of the reason why he's so snarly and mean is because he wants people to hate him for his attitude - not for his looks and insecurities. He's got some issues to work out.

Likes: Alcohol, cigarettes, loud concerts, slasher movies, wrestling, piercings, tattoos, long hair on guys, cuddling (he'd rather die than admit to it), old cars, weird clothes, nature

Dislikes: reading (he's not very good at it), romantic junk, large crowds, social situations, feeling vulnerable, veggies, socks, water, technology - cellphones!

This is also very weird but I always picture Monty having trouble keeping his mouth closed, since he's got so many facial piercings (four on lower lip, two in tongue, and smiley piercing) and that's why he's always got a toothy grin on his face and/or tongue sticking out.
