So yeah, I decided to take a part-time job at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza... as one of those scary-looking mascot automatons. The job is pretty easy: kill the unlucky watchman who unwittingly took the job that night. Why? Don't ask me; even the other automatons don't tell me why. >_>;; Maybe it's a tradition or something for them.
Okay, so I got into the Five Nights at Freddy's meme. ^_^;; This game appears to be very popular right now. I never really intend on playing that game myself -- never really a big fan of horror games with jumpscares. o_o But I like watching reaction videos of people playing it on YouTube. XDDD I did mention in my Twitter that, for this Halloween, I'd become one of those FNAF automatons. Everyone else's doing it with their own characters, so I jumped the bandwagon.
Happy Halloween! =P

Of course, my parents even thought that Halloween appears to be about devil-worshipping and such. I quickly had to tell them, no no no, it's actually the opposite: it's supposed to ward-off the devil away. Somehow, the tradition has mutated into the way it is popularly viewed today: kids in costumes traveling from door to door asking for "trick or treat".
To answer your question, yes, we have a few holidays here. New Year, the Merdeka Day on every August 31st, etc. even selected dates of each of the sultan's birthday in their respective states (and only in those states) of Malaysia. The ones that we Muslims celebrate the most are Eid il-Fitr and Eid al-Adha. It is said that Muslims are barred from celebrating holidays originated from other faiths, like Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine's Day, and even Halloween, all of which are Christian, which really upsets me, really. =_= Except Christmas, all of those days mentioned count as normal working day for us Malaysians. Chinese New Year and Diwali are allowed to be celebrated here as holidays because of the large Chinese and (Tamil) Indian population here.
