Here's my contribution to Halloween this year. New character!
Wollstoncraf is a Nightmaleon, a species belonging to DeviantART user Taluns, which are free to make during October! I think I may tweak his palette design a bit, giving him less fur skins and more reptile skins.
Their species ref is right here: http://fav.me/d5jjc1x
Anyways, info:
- Name: Wollstoncraf
- Sex: Male
- Height: 3 meters
- Phobia: Doraphobia, fear of fur or skins of animals
- Palette Appearance: Wollstoncraf's pelatte makes him appear as if he was created from sewing the fresh skins and body parts of other animals into one "Frankenstein" creature. His claws and spikes look like fresh bones that have been stuck onto the created body as well.
- Bio: Wollstoncraf is quite large compared to other nightmaleons. His huge size often ends up scaring away other creatures, including other nightmaleons. Because of this, he prefers to live alone in high mountains, only coming down to hunt. Wollstoncraf is already an introvert, so this does not bother him. He doesn't have a set territory, and spends his days roaming the colder regions of the mountains, exploring and finding new places. His only wish is to find a mate that would not be scared off by his size or palette. The only problem is that whenever he sees another creature, nightmaleon, or even the occasional hiker, he gets excited and immediately flashes his palette, scaring off whatever he met. He somehow has control over his palette when hunting, in order to maintain camouflage.
Fun Facts:
- If you haven't already guessed it, Wollstoncraf is based off the story of Frankenstein's Monster.
- Wollstoncraf gets his name from Wollstonecraft, the maiden name of Mary Shelly, the author of Frankenstein.
- His palette mimic the monster from Frankenstein as well, with his palette resembling a creature made from the body parts of other creatures. - His habitat of living in cold, high mountains reflect the monster from Frankenstein, when he retreated to the Arctic near the end of the book.
- Did I mention the huge size is an allusion to Frankenstein as well, since the monster created was larger than a normal human?
- Yeah, he's a Frankenstein nightmaleon. I'm so creative.
