Good question.
Well, fist off, I've been doing sort-of inflation-like things since I was a kid. I looooved stuffing stuff into my shirt, especially balloons and balls. I know pretty much all kids do that, but I felt a small bit of guilt when I did it, and I never knew why until recently- I think it was probably because I felt like I enjoyed it enough that people would think I was weird.
But what really ended up causing me to draw so much inflation started earlier this year. I don't remember exactly how I stumbled upon it, but I ended up seeing a few inflation pictures. I thought it was weird and an odd thing for so many people to like. But then over the next week, I couldn't stop wondering about it and being curious, so eventually I ended up looking up more just to satisfy my curiosity. And then I kept looking up more. and more. and more. I didn't want to watch any of the people who's art I was looking at in fear that my family might see some of it in my messages while I was checking it in the same room as them or something.
As I continued to look it up, I started wondering- how would I draw it? I wonder if I'd be any good at it.
So I started doodling some, and throwing the papers away immediately afterwards to destroy the evidence (lol), but I wanted to be able to keep some of it. So then I made a secret folder on my computer and started drawing inflation using my tablet.
Eventually I figured some of the other inflation fans might enjoy seeing the little bit I had made, so after a long time of thinking about it, I decided to make a new FA account, CherryCheesecake, to upload anything weird that I wouldn't want my friends or family to see. Then I got so much positive feedback and so many watchers because of the inflation and fat, that it turned into a pretty much only fat/inflation drawing account. XD
A little less than a year later, and here we are today.

I know coming out to my family about being a furry was one of the hardest things I've ever done, but I'm happy I did. I've still only managed to tell my mother about the fat/inflation part of it, but I hope to be able to embrace it openly one day.
Thank you very much for answering my question and sharing your story!

All of my family and friends know I'm a furry. ^^ It wasn't hard for them to find out, because I pretty much have been my entire life. I only found out that there was an actual fandom for it about a year ago, and my family didn't know at all so it was easy to introduce it in a good light, so they weren't surprised, and their impression of me didn't change at all. XD
The inflation, though, is a completely different story, and I don't think anyone I know who doesn't know already would like to hear that I draw all of this. >n<;;
