Ok, so I have a couple of critiques for the actual game itself, I know you have only just started, but I think these will be helpful.

You should be able to feed your own pet without having to buy 'food'. Not too much, but enough so that new players with no friends can get started and invest. Maybe make it easier for the first few levels, and then make the curve for leveling larger to encourage the social side. Consider putting in a clear 'community' tab, where you can get to a player list perhaps, a forum, a chat room, a blog, etc.

The Layout of the website is not clear at all (as you can tell from the guy above me not knowing how to adopt a pet). Make sure that there are clear instructions on the home page, and make some large colourful buttons that say things like "feed your pet" and "explore other people's pets" and "premium shop" (if you're gonna do that sort of thing). The fact everything is found under a small 'explore' tab on the side is kind of... hidden I guess.

On people's profile pages, their adoptables (or 3 of their choice to be showcase adoptables) should be visible without having to click on a separate tab. Also make some really simple icons like a cat face or just the cropped faces of adoptables that people can use without having to upload their own :3

oh, it's just that sometimes you have to hit F5 for the page to refresh and display correctly. this, unfortunately, was not the case.
