In its transformed state, the Elias super carrier can aim its super dimensional cannon with advanced precision compared to the judgment and 1st gen macross class SDFs. Aside from its previously mentioned Valkyrie and destroid squads, the Elias class is also armed with several reaction warhead launchers and 12 high powered rail cannons. Although its dimensional cannon is less powerful then the judgment, its recharge time is faster and is able to fire a concentrated blast or a spread shot that fires several beams across a cylindrical radius.

me again! lol
i was curious as to something , when a ship , such as this supercarrier , transforms , what procedures are there as to stowage of cargo ships and personnel? and at the points in which the transformation occurs , EG the joints of the 'arms" are they zones in which personnel could usually travel/utilise or are they specialized areas set only for transformation?

*scratches head* ya know thats a very good question that they never really went into in macross 7, however after seeing ep 7 of macross frontier in which the macross quarter underwent its transformation, areas that crew would normally traverse through out the ship where sealed off. (said areas most likely where transforming took place) Also before transformation all fighter craft where strapped down and secured beforehand so the elias class would follow the same principal.
fair enough , im just thinking it would be a gigantic undertaking to transform , the construction of such ships would be monumental , i mean to have so many moving working components working in sync to physically alter a ship of such size would be extremely intricate , and yeah sealing off the chambers makes sense , though i think there would also be specific non crew interactive zones , such as power conduits running to "limbs" from the power source , and their defences if indeed they have them
