Make a variety of sizes since some people like to have theirs teddy bear sized while others prefer theirs to be pillow sized.

Yup, that's the plan. Me, I prefer BIG plushes to cuddle- I like wrapping Kozy's wings around me, for example. So comforting. So yeah- teddy-bear size and pillow sized, and maybe a bigger one. Gotta make the pattern, first, though, and size it up or down.

You have a gold dragon plushie? Cool! I have Kozy - he's six feet of purple velvet plush that I use as a body-pillow... Won him at a fair that comes through town every year. He was originally filled with styrofoam beads- those were hard and non-comfy, so I gutted him and filled him with much more comfortable poly-fill... He gets some happy snuggles from me when I miss KaniS.

Yep! Custom-made too, so he looks just like my character!

Also, having a plushy substitute for when the mate's away is always nice. For snuggling! I wouldn't know of other, ah.. uses :P

*giggles* I could do that... Would take time, though- have to work out how the pattern would go together... I'd have to charge for it, though- I'm a poor old lizard.

Depending on how big you wanted her, really. The fabric I'd make her out of costs about 20$ a meter (approx 19$ a yard- a yard is a bit smaller than a metre), and at least a yard would go into a plush that's about a foot and a half long in body. Other materials would be going into her, too- I probably have to make the eyes myself, and I'd have to find a source for the mane hair (thinking doll-hair. dunno HOW I'm gonna do the rainbow)... Total construction time, approximately ten hours, spread out over a day or two. So I'd say probably about seventy bucks, Canadian, for a two-foot long Murra plushy.

I like the idea of making nice, big, pillowy versions, too.. :)

I'll start the pattern-drafting tomorrow, for those who might want one.

That would be completely awesome, hehe, so man uses for a lovable Murrah plushie.

So lets do the math here, $70 canadian would be how much American? :P

I haven't the foggiest. The rates have been bouncing up and down a lot- the last I'd heard was Canadian is sitting about .94 $ right now... So, it would be a bit less than seventy$- probably about 65$

ahh, very nice ^^ it's hard to find a nice dragon plushie.. like you said, a lot of them have those styrofoam beads. a lot are very pointy/hard and others are just unpleasant to look at ^_^

Yeah, no kidding. Gods, I've seen some fugly dragon plushes. I'm rather amazed that Kozy is so cute... I'll have to consider making some patterns for more types of dragons, too- this might net me some income.
