Third party voting is viable in local elections. Not so much on federal level, due to the antiquated and problematic way American elections work. Better solution is to do as the Tea Party did and start agitating for your political beliefs and goals within one of the two major existing parties.

No watch as I prepare for potential self immolation in the insuring flame-war by saying I always vote Democrat. Both parties are flawed and neither are perfect, but I prefer the stand the Democrats take for the most part. If anyone complains our system isn't working that's because when we have a Republican present if Congress is mostly Democrat they stonewall everything he tries to do and vice versa.

I always answer my phone as a business when people whom I don't know call me. It's surprisingly effective at reducing the bullshit calls you get.

Yeah, but politicians have conveniently given themselves an exemption from the robocall law. When I get home from work, my answering machine is full of this nonsense.

My only disagreement is in regards to local elections, as I have actually seen where it has had a real impact on the lives of a few neighborhoods- positive impact, even.

actually if german parties would work like they swore to do after each election, and also never promise what they haven't worked out into usefulness beforehand (so they won't have to admit it's not possible to do so), all we'd have to care about would be their political directive. because they all would work for the best of people and country.

needless to say, they don't. even those who try to be different either give up (Piraten), or become corrupted (Die Grünen). our current hopes lie on AfD (Alternative für Deutschland). the established parties try to push them into the right wing, but there is more to that than just brown minds. granted, some ideas are a bit radical, but there.
