United States Lunar Base Washington was the first and longest running Lunar Operations Post during the continual wars of the 20th century. First started in secret during the early 70s as part of the Sagittarius Program, it was finally unveiled in 1977 as a fully operational communications and observation post with much larger and capable equipment than could be set up with easily destroyable satellites. As part of United States Space Command, and later folded into the USRDF establishment, the base would host a shifting 75 man force made up of volunteers from the various RDF units.
Life on the base was often described as "horrifically boring" and depression rates amongst the base's rotating crews was amongst the US' numerous forces.
