This is part three of a six-part RP story I did with  EricStripe back in early September. It stars my Keepers character, Ryth, her younger sister, Jabu, another Keeper, his orca character, Morcan, and his main dragon character, Xiren. It revolves around the nefarious attempt to complete the Keepers' first evolutions by forcibly taking Ryth's power to the next level, and using the orca to do it.

In this third part, Ryth and Jabu reunite with former LOVE general Garrett Brine, their biological father. And it's not a pleasant reunion. The girls learn of his resurrection, courtesy of Agua and, to a lesser extent, Vyk (back in "Realm of the Dead"), and Ryth, in particular, is pissed off. Brine wants to reenter Ryth's life and get into Jabu's, as well, but Ryth isn't having any of it, remembering his murderous past, and Jabu is more confused, wondering if he's changed.

Elsewhere, Xiren is counseled by Morcan, who advises him to stop moping about his lack of powers and go and get them back. Xiren wants to, but doesn't know how. Then, the dragon is told off by Jabu, who is sick of his self-pity and just wants him to let her and the other Keepers in more if he supposedly considers them part of his family (as he claimed in "Keepers in Aerona"). Xiren considers this, but is unwilling to mend fences with Ryth just yet until Jabu makes a small threat that makes him reconsider.

Finally, Jabu talks to Morcan and gets to know him more, and she learns that he's essentially a beat cop of the ocean, hunting down and even eating people who threaten or pollute it. They talk about his job, his frustrations with "drylanders," and his and Ryth's shared love of the ocean. He then advises Jabu to get to know her father, if she wants to. But will it be a good idea? . . .

Meanwhile, Viktor and Jyn continue their observance of the heroes. . . .
