Juno in De-Niles - Part 2 (Completed)
Eager to get to a warmer location, the dragon quietly followed his new human friend down the mountain, paying close attention to him so as not to lose him. Though as he walked behind him, he had no idea as to the true intentions of the man's seemingly kind gesture. . . .
The man reached a valley at the base of the mountain. It was large, vast, desolate of any plant life due to the cold weather, and had to spread out for at least twenty-five square miles. In the midst of the this valley was a fair-sized village of small, one-story huts made out of either straw, wood, or both. They all sat in rows and columns and seemed to be well-kept.
The village seemed to be empty, but in reality was quite full. All of its villagers were just relaxing and resting in their huts after a long, hard day of tracking . . . and hunting. . . .
At the edge of the village was the largest hut in the village. In fact, one could consider it the equivalent of an average, one-story home in a subdivision. And it was this hut to which Juno was led by the man.
Once at the wooden door, the man opened it up and gestured inside, saying, "Here you are. After you."
Juno smiled and walked inside, seeing a nice fire going. It warmed up the hut very well and immediately set to work in warming the dragon's scales.
He sighed contentedly. "I feel warmer already," he said.
"That's good," the man said with a smile of his own. "I was just about to have dinner."
"Sweet!" Juno said, looking around the admittedly-nice place as he moved a bit closer to the fire. "What's for dinner?"
"You are," the answered quickly.
Juno turned his head somewhat around and moved his eyes to look at his new friend. "Heh-heh, I'm sorry," he chuckled, not quite sure if he'd heard correctly. "What did you just say?"
"You are dinner," the man said, a rather sinister smile now appearing on his face.
And then, that was when it happened.
The man suddenly began to shift his shape. His human features gradually faded as his nose and lips began to protrude, being replaced with a long, green-scaled snout with two nostrils on the end of it. His skin grew covered with dark-green scales, and his arms and legs grew thicker and harder. His once-kind eyes became red-and-yellow and much fiercer than before, and his once-flat teeth turned into razor-sharp ones instead. His height increased by at least a foot, and a long, green tail sprouted from his behind as his frame widened. Long, sharp claws grew out of his fingers
In less than a minute, Juno's mysterious friend was definitely no longer human. . . .
