So....I figured I'd put together a sampler of the songs that'll be on my EP. They're all in various stages of completeness, or moreso, incompleteness. There's 7 songs in here. Originally I only had 6 going on here. Then when I picked up the guitar yesterday to fiddle for a couple minutes, a song kinda happened. I haven't recorded any vocals for these yet, and these are all WIP, so mixing and levels might not be great, so...ya.
In order of appearance; "Heavy Metak," Alone in the Dark, Rush Delivery, Sasha, "Scritch," Soldiers Prayer, and Switch it On.
Songs with quotations are only their project name, and I haven't come up with a final title for them. Details of each song;
"Heavy Metak"-Oldest song of the bunch, partial lyrics were written separatley, then to my joy I realised they fit together. It's a pretty gratutious metal song, with a theme about the Crusades. Has a solo scratched in so I wouldn't forget it. Iron Maiden style 2 guitar solo.
Alone in the Dark-The most complete of all songs with all programmed drums bounced down to audio. Not sure if I'll keep the title, dont' have lyrics for it yet, so that might change when I do. This also has a solo planned out already.
Rush Delivery-This song, like Switch it On, (see below), came to be in about 15 minutes. I had the entire arrangement and all parts, figured out and within those 15 minutes.
Sasha-80's pop rock type sound. Definatley the "single" of the bunch. I think it reminds me of Poison. Has partial lyrics. This one also has a solo penned out.
"Scritch"- Another old riff, atleast the beginning, which isn't heard here. Needs lyrics and finalization of the arrangement.
Soldiers Prayer-Inspired by a painting by Starfinder, you should look 'er up, great stuff. Also has lyrics, but needs a final arrangement and all that jazz.
Switch it On-An instrumental. It just kinda popped out there yesterday when I was playing. Everything written in about 30 minutes, but still needs the lead work planned and recorded.

I love the riffs in all this stuff, it's amazing! Alone in the Dark sounds HUGE, like classic Halen, I love the bass in it. Rush Delivery has a very STP feel to it, and I mean the badass late era STP that commands attention. You certainly hit the Poison mark with Sasha, only I think the guitar sound dominates whatever they ever could produce. Scritch and Soldiers' Pray could benefit with more upfront basslines, especially the latter, since it relies on it alot in the less heavy parts.
I can't wait for it to be done! You're one of the reasons I love furaffinity so much!

Ya, Alone in the Dark is probably my favorite, along with the very last song cause it's so fun to jam to. I think the STP sound in Rush Delivery is why my buddy Dan likes that one so much. It's kinda weird cause I don't listen to much STP, although I know I should, so it's cool it comes across with that influence.
I've been trying to find a good bass tone with my Ampeg sim that really sits well with everything. I haven't been able to find a uniform set up that matches all the songs, like I've done with the guitars. And ya, I'M even anxious to see how it finally all turns out. And dude, thanks for the fav, and one of the reasons you love FA so much. Man, what can I say? That's just so cool to hear. Thanks dude, it's great to see I've got fans out there. Cheers
