This is part ten of a twelve-part RP story I did more than a month ago with  EricStripe. It stars his main dragon character, Xiren, his main lizard character, Agua, his main rabbit character and Aerona Chronicles protagonist, Kuroi, my Keepers protagonist Storm, my deuteragonist, Jobe, and my main werewolf character, Vyk. It revolves around, as the title suggests a brief war they're going to fight with a whole army of undead bent on conquering Xiren, Agua, and Kuroi's version of Earth. The story also features Seth and the remaining five Keepers, my tritagonist, Michel, Jabu, Nalan, Arlo, and Ryth.

In this tenth part, Viktor visits Savos in Nalci to check on his progress with his aid in his plans. The scientist briefly discusses the crocodile's partnership with Jyn, and when Viktor declines to say why he'd work with the werewolf when he used to prefer working alone, Savos figures out quickly that Viktor fears being alone (likely should he fail to get Eris back). Jyn arrives next and is furious with Savos's lack of progress on his aid to his plan, but Savos waves off his angry rant by reminding him what he did to evolve Nalan and Ryth. Then, Viktor enlightens Jyn to an amazing secret about Savos. Viktor finally heads back to Aerona to watch the battle and tells Jyn to get ready with the Oni. It's time to free a binding belonging to one of the remaining Oni. The one called Gluttony. Though before he goes, Jyn thanks Viktor for his own help . . . and actually makes the crocodile smile warmly and genuinely when he says that he considers him to be his friend. . . .

Elsewhere, Jyn reaches Gluttony and not only says that he'll undo one of his bindings . . . but he'll also fully free him. All he has to do is agree to pursue the eight Keepers and devour them. As a reward, he gets all of Aterea to ravage and devour its people for food! The hungry Oni agrees to this immediately, just as Jyn undoes a binding using a claw of Viktor's.

He does this just as an unbearable tragedy happens back in Aerona. While Baris has successfully defended Jobe from Malice's attack, Lynx has defended Vyk, Agua has defended Roscuro, and Kuroi has defended himself, all of them had ways of doing so while also protecting themselves. Jack, on the other hand, has defended Storm, but with no way of protecting himself. The attack kills him. And this sets off an emotional, mournful reaction from Agua, who was close friends with him. (This broke  EricStripe's heart, but I felt pretty "meh" about it since I hate Jack.) It sets off such a reaction that the lizard makes an amazing change: the final stage of his evolution. One-third of the first stage of Viktor's plan has finally completed.

Agua's hunger increases with Gluttony partially free, and he starts to go insane. But he is slightly tamed when he hears Vyk's voice and makes physical contact with him, making it clear that their bond is still quite strong. But then . . . they vanish together, leaving the heroes down two members, and devastating Roscuro (due to Agua disappearing). Which isn't good, because it's time for the good guys to launch their final assault on Malice.

It doesn't look as bad, however, when Xiren finally returns. But can he defeat Malice when he resurfaces? . . .
