someone actually just showed me these really awesome caps that have like, a countdown on the lid that let you know how long it's been since you opened them. THAT sounds up my alley!

i take several pills three times a day and i always ended up short early so it relaly helped out x-x
but there are also apps on your phone to help if you're really THAT stubborn

Ugh, I hate that. :\ Especially if I doze off before or after the time I'm supposed to take them. Waking up and wondering if I forgot them...

yeah, that's sort of the issue. if i leave to do chores and can't remember if i took them before i left, or worse can't remember when i get home if i remembered to take them when i got home.

or if i'm in a total work zone and time slips by and all but work isn't worth memory, did i take meds? who knows!!!

I was taking meds morn and night for awhile, so I'd move them to remember. After I took them in the morning I'd put the bottles on the right side of the comp, and after taking the pill in the evening I'd move them back to the left side. If it was morning and the pills were on the left, I knew I hadn't taken them yet, same for the evening ones if they were still on the right.

My 2 cents worth.

a couple people have suggested something similar, but since i only have one pill i need to take right now, i'm not sure that'll work for me. and keeping track of where it was the day before vs today is too easy to forget too. i think i just need one of those caps with a timer.

The reason I don't get one of those weekly pill boxes is because the cheap ones are ugly and I don't want to spend money on a fancy one.

So what I do is; every time I take my pills, I put the bottles in a different arrangement from the day before.

I'm old, but my problem is I get distracted REALLY easily. Always have been. The weekly pill box is a necessity.

I've been told to take them consistently at the same time, but what if I skip it and don't realize it? That's what they fail to realize.

*hugs* good luck with them!, i used to have an alarm on my phone when i had to take some stuff (at five i still sometimes glare at my phone waiting for it to go off XD )

i do that for alf's, but because of WORK MODE BRAIN ACTIVATE i'm pretty certain i'd just dismiss and ignore an alarm, and be in the same situation i am now. I TURNED IT OFF BUT DOES THAT MEAN I TOOK IT? OR DID I TURN IT OFF INTENDING TO TAKE IT AND NOT TAKE IT?

do you have one of those pill boxed? that might help :3
and maybe make the alarm a song you can ignore or get into the habit of doing some thing every time you take them, like....draw a quick doodle (stick figure quick) and date it so you know? at lest that way you know if youve taken it ^^;;

i think it might be a 'with time it wont matter anymore' it is all still pretty new for you so dont you feel bad about it, id rather you know if you took them then not bbuuuttt dont want you do anything to make you feel uncomfortable about it :3

And yet can be confused by outsiders (and in my case myself) as something else, something usually more manageable theoretically. Which leads to resentment and guilt.

Uuuurg I've been there. Actually started developing migraines as a teen when I ended up taking like four times the maximum dose of a med I was on but that was half the doc's fault for not telling me he was increasing my dose..

i cant imagine how awful it'd be to have chronic migraines. so much fo the stuff i enjoy is like radiant bright colours and loud noises and shakycam D:
