I have to disagree with Mariah on this. If an immodest dress is altered to be more to code, it isn't immodest anymore. Just ask any Bishop who has asked a sister to safety pin a hem on her dress to make it longer at a Single dance. Heh. But then, church members have a broad range with how seriously they take the dress code and modesty. Some are a little more lax, and some are a little more.. hmmm, whats a nice way to say it? steadfast?

Trick is... Sarah did not "alter" the immodest dress, even temporarily. She merely tried to hide it. Definitely not the same thing, even though it -probably- had the same result.

Hmmm, there's a point there. Still, this is a matter of differing opinions to me. We'll see how this gets resolved.
