Also known as the Slavonian Grebe, the Horned Grebe has distinct yellow ‘horns’ of feathers that are present on both male and female during the breeding season. They are excellent divers and participate in a less than stellar, but no less romantic, courtship dance as their more fanciful relatives of the same family.
