Well, here is another Mobile Suit design I'm working on. This is the Gundam "Abram".
This unit is completely of my own creation, though I drew a lot of inspiration from the "RX-79 (G)" also known as the "Ground Combat Gundam".
Anyway, I basically took the RX-79 (G) and revamped it. In the comic, that I will eventually draw, The suit was a mass production model that was based on the RX-79(G) from Centurys past. It was redesigned and updated to be a multi-purpose moble suit. Capable of combat in both Terestrial/Atmospheric and Zero G enviornments. (space combat) The unit was code named "Abram". Don't know whay, the name just came to me. (still thinking up a model number)
In the story this machine is quite an apponent, despite being over 80 years old! The main character "won" the unit in a bet he had with a cocky superior officer. Since then the main character has been modifying and upgrading the old unit so that it can compete with modern Mobile Suits, or surpass them.

The kit dates back to the late 1980s or early 1990s. It was one of the first types which was considered the "High Grade" style of kits with parts in different colors molded on the same sprue. The G-8 (I might be wrong on the number.) was considered the "Volkswagen" of Gundam fighters. Cheap, Easy to produce, and easily modified. A common "Foot Soldier" among the giant battle robots.
Hmmm, I'm unfamiliar with the kit mentioned. The only thing that comes to mind is the "Ez8", which is a modified and updated version of the RX-79(G). It was lighter, but better armored, and was much more menuverable.
I had a Master Grade version of it, but alas, my cousin broke the head off... ^^;

"Z" scale is close to 1/144? I used to mess around with them on my HO model railroad back when I lived with my grandparents.
Now I prefer the larger Master Grade models. I would build more Perfect Grade ones, but there;s the finacial aspect of it. ^^;
I would absolutely LOVE to get a 1/100 scale Master Grade Model of "G-Saviour". It was a Gundam from a live action Gundam movie. Something of the same or similar quality and budget of a Sci-Fi channel "B" movie. It was a decent flick and the suit designs were awesome, but they never used the word "Gundam" once! Even though it was a Gundam movie. ^^;
