Many moons ago, I was planning to do a graphic novel of the ELO album TIME. I did a ton of preliminary work for it, but for various reasons I never went on to the final stage. Some time later, I decided to do the next best thing, which was a single painting using the story and images I had in mind. This was done all in traditional media, using airbrush, watercolors and animation 'cel' overlays. Not sure of the date-- probably mid 1990's, but the concept for the graphic novel dates back to my college years in 1985. These are panels from a much larger image, and the written descriptions are something I added later when I posted this on my now-dead website. Astute observers will be able to spot where I incorporated ideas from this into my other comics such as City of Ice, Blacklight and Escape to New York.
