The entire third side of ELOs double-disk magnum opus, Out Of The Blue, "Concerto For A Rainy Day", tells a story, whereas the 'echoing words" effects can also be heard on the song "Jungle" from the same album (third track, side two).
Our Host does ELO's concept album very honorably with this mini-series. A great, and easy-to-digest omnibus of the album.
More trivia: GAINAX's first big film was the animated mini-feature to open Japan's monster sci-fi/comix convention DaiCon IV. They used Prologue/Twilight from Time as the BGM/theme music for the short...without the label's permission.

Saw that quite a while ago. I honestly hated it. Nothing to do with the song at all-- they could've used any fast-paced music. Hope they got their asses sued by the record label.

GAINAX's action occurred outside the range of American copyright law, so no lawsuits. Also, it was the 80s, so it was before the Biblical Plaque of Lawyers we endure now. But, the actual film cannot be sold in the USA.

Really beautifully done! Very nice way of bringing a fantastic album to life.
