While this picture may not seem to be much more then water running out of a faucet. The fact that it is running now in my home is something. Here is a break down of the costs.
PEX hose (100 feet, covers the entire place) - $40
Hose cutter - $20
Bag of T-Connectors - $10
Bag of crimp rings - $8
Crimper - $5 rental ($60 new planned for future date)
Copper connectors ($2 each, 8 purchased)
adapters as all the connecters where male and I needed female ($2 each)
Electric Heat tape (for the outside connection) - $20
Insulation tape (to hold the above in place with added protection) - $20
total cost currently - $155
Still needed
Tankless water heaters (2 needed) - $200 each
Adapter costs to be determined after heaters are purchased.
So cold water showers and such for now, which is fine... still not a bad bit of savings for doing it all myself and getting rid of pipes that burst last year.
