DfD: "Wait, this isn't my art!?!" by DripRat 3/3
It's been a long time coming... but there's been a reason this comic book was delayed, and it's been a kind of a long story, so kudos for infinite patience goes to
NathanCowan for his patience, and then even moreso to
DripRat who stepped up to the plate to provide something I'm pretty sure more than makes up for the wait =D
So... I was getting pretty damn burnt out on the comic book pages, the first two were a learning experience at what I am and what I am most assuredly not capable of in a standard commission, I mean, heck, I'm barely making ground these days on single shots or such =x
So, I mentioned this and Drip gave me a rather sound and right telling off for biting off more than I can chew, as well as advising that a comic page needs to be a lot more than a normal commission price to even be considered tackling for the effort going in
Right he was, and, on the spot, he offers to lighten my load that HE would complete the comic's third page =D
So... besides meaning a little less work, getting to see three of the four of the Foxforce girls in his style? Bonus!!
And here, after all the excitement of the Transformers convention, Shadow returns from her quote-unquote date to settle back to normality... Or about as normal gets in this house.
Welp.
There's always next time Shadow =D
Script by Moi
Art by
DripRat
Foxforce Universe C
Dynotaku and
NathanCowan
(Also, on the list of edited/deleted/alternate scenes? Silver's line of dialog: "So... did you show her some 'sexual healing'?)
Seriously, major, massive props and thanks to go both Drip and Nathan for all help and patience =D

There's a number of different editions; I've seen prices between $4000 $1000 and $350. They almost certainly cut a deal, so let's say it was shy of four figures.
Assuming Tech comes up with a way to get it covered by their budget for an op, it would cut into their bonus: they get a contract with a budget and they get 10% of the surplus on completion. So, if they drop a grand on this and can justify it, they each lost $25.

You'd have to relate it to a business expense.
One of the benefits to being a corporate thug-for-hire is that there's a lot of stuff that can be justified as a business expense. "We had to bribe a reporter to give us good press" is credible. One thousand is probably pricey enough that they'd need to sell it; in Silverfox Shadow justified an expenditure of a few hundred a month as "giving Ebony an address." It is possible that Ebony needed to drop a grand to maintain a cover. In Shadowfox David was able to travel to several cities on the West Coast and authorize the outlay himself: that was likely over a thousand bucks. Firefox is senior to him and probably has a higher amount authorized.
There is also considerable latitude because some expenses need to be justified under "I'd rather not say," which by implication means "we did something illegal and as long as you don't hear about it, it didn't happen."
