USS Belfast - Belfast Class Heavy Corvette
The Belfast Class Heavy Corvette was an unorthodox design put into service by Starfleet around the same time as the Constitution Class Heavy Cruiser. As expected, the Belfast didn't perform nearly as well as other cruiser types of the era. Several vessels of the class would however receive complete refits after the so called "Whale Probe" incident.
*Sidenote: I based this on an old image that had once been of the Wolf's Shipyard website before CanisD removed all images that he didn't make. So, as such I have no clue as to whom created the Belfast in the first place.

well i bet it would fit more in the current idea of ship stiles of star trek online's new intel ships just make it look more futeristic then it is here and i think that it would do fairly well with the tech of the current expansion of star trek online.
but id have to say that it looks more like a science vessel;e from the front. but from the discription i beleve it would fit a escort like ship what they calle a cruser is mor of a tank mut the're are some curser that are a bit weaker that are more escort like in geared more for damage then defense. so the idea it beeing a little lacking probably means its more, and looks more like a combat escort vessel. imo
