this is heavy with all the thoughts you've been thinking, it has real weight. all your thinking shows respect, you do not need to worry about being disrespectful. you are not using the death to your own advantage. you are trying to consider everything. I should also add that you are an eloquent speaker, both in art and in writing, and your thoughts and feelings easily come across.

I also lost a friend to a drug od recently and my actual brother (who was best friends with that of friend) is in rehab right now... I really don't know what to think. It makes me very mad most of all because how can they be that stupid... But god I miss them, it hurts so much.... They don't even stop to think what sort of effect it has on everyone around them.
But, this sort of thing is by far not disrespectful. In fact its very opposite considering the day of the dead. Its quite reapecful to represent those who past in a matter of the undead. So I agree beautiful. Keep your head up.

My condolences. Doing art can vent emotions, and if it helps then there is no need to be scared then. Also, I would agree with the others, this picture doesn't seem to be disrespectful at all. It's a representation of how you feel. And that can hardly be disrespectful.
