A work in progress of a red panda I am modeling. This is my second serious model undertaking and my first serious attempt at modeling in Lightwave. I have found this to be a very challenging animal to model due to the hugely thick fur that red pandas have. This has made it hard to approximate the underlying facial structure.

So far I have about 12 hours in the basic head model, which I don't think is to bad considering my inexperience. I still need to add and detail eyes, teeth, and a tongue, and the face itself needs further detailing. The present colors are for reference for different surfaces and are not the finished colors.
It will eventually be a full body model and will be furred using Sasquach.
