You would think Pokemon would have advanced so far, and branched off so wonderfully, for it to get such a meaningful reboot like this.
But all we get is Ash being a immortal 10 year old, acquiring a "harem" that he will never last long and disappear only to show up once and leave.
That said "harem" consists of Gym leaders, playable characters of the gaming franchise, or some kid that is a younger sibling of said above. Always following the formula of one boy, one girl, and one add on of either gender. His Pokemon team of the previous journey will be sent away, starting anew with only Pikachu that is constantly being reset in level.

Why does Digimon have such better writers and is not a cash cow being milked beyond abuse...
